Privacy Policy
Last updated 28 October 2026. Applies to www.aetcm.com and the AETCM app on Android and iOS.
AETCM runs www.aetcm.com and the AETCM app. The app shows the same content as the website: free medical books, AETCM videos and bedside calculators. We handle personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
The short version
- You do not need an account. The app has no sign-in.
- Free books, videos and tools need no personal details.
- We show no ads and use no advertising or tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell or rent your data.
What we collect and why
| Data | When | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|---|
| Push notification address (a random endpoint issued by Google, Apple, Microsoft or Mozilla) | Only if you tap "Notify me" and allow notifications | To tell you when new free books are added | Until you turn notifications off or the address stops working |
| Download and open counts per book, with country | When a book is downloaded or opened | To know which books are useful | Totals only. Your IP address is not stored; a one-way code is kept for 30 minutes so repeat clicks count once |
| Name, email, phone and order details | Only when you buy a paid ebook on the website | To deliver the ebook and invoice | As long as tax law requires |
| Messages you send us | When you email or WhatsApp us | To reply | As long as needed to help you |
What stays on your device
Books you save for offline reading, your reading progress and calculator inputs are stored only on your phone or computer. They are never sent to us. Deleting the app or clearing its data removes them.
Calculators are for trained professionals
The bedside tools are aids for qualified health professionals. They do not replace clinical judgement, local protocols or the product label. Calculator inputs never leave your device.
Services we use
- Cloudflare hosts the site and app content and protects it from attacks.
- Push services from Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging), Apple, Microsoft and Mozilla deliver notifications.
- Razorpay handles payments on the website. Card, UPI and bank details go to Razorpay, not to us. The app sells nothing.
- YouTube plays AETCM videos and may set its own cookies when you start a video.
- Google Fonts and the cdnjs content network serve fonts and the PDF reader code.
We share data only with these providers, as needed to run the service, or with authorities when the law requires.
Children
The app is meant for medical students, doctors, nurses, paramedics and the public seeking first-aid information. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Your choices and rights
- Turn notifications off at any time in the app or in your phone's settings. This deletes your push address from our system.
- Ask to see, correct or erase any personal data we hold by writing to aetcmamrita@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Access to stored data is limited to AETCM administrators.
Changes
We will post any change on this page and update the date above.
